Put them on a proper charger and the charger will terminate the charge when they are done! Provided you set it up for correct cell count etc.

Duralite says only use a Duralite charger to charge Duralite batteries. Fromeco specifically says not to use a Duralite charger to charge Fromeco Li-Ions.

50% Pitts,

If my mother had specifically told me not to cram my a$$ full of dynamite and light it, I probably wouldn't try it just to prove if she was right or wrong. However, if you want to charge your Fromeco Li-Ions with the Duralite charger in spite of Fromeco's warning against it, please feel free to do so.

I'm sorry for the sarcasm, 50%, but I would sure hate to see you burn up an expensive Li-Ion, and possibly put your plane in jeopardy. I've got both Duralite and Fromeco Li-Ions. I use my Duralite charger to charge the Duralite battery, but I use my Triton charger to charge the Fromecos, since I couldn't see buying yet another charger (Fromeco) for the Fromecos. Seems that Fromeco recommends about any Li-Ion charger except the Duralite charger because of Duralite's "Charge-Safe circuitry".

You didn't mention if you are using the Relion or the new Peerless packs but this is what I read on Fromeco's website.

"Fromeco recommends against the use of the Duralite chargers, these chargers have repeatedly shown to do harm to batteries that are not equipped with safety charging circuits".

I'm not an expert so I feel comfortable taking their advice.

If you don't mind me asking...why not buy Duralites? Everything would be compatible and there be no need for another charger.

I'm not sure if you can order them with Deans already on them but its cake to switch them over. Might be your best and least costly solution. Just a thought.....good luck.

Come to think of it...I think you can order them with different wire and connectors. A while back I talked to a guy that had a Duralite set-up and he mentioned that he ordered his packs with 18ga wire and Deans connectors. Might want to give them a call and ask.
