New field in Orchard Farm, MO

I like how its got the pad out front so people can sit on chairs and not be under the shelter so they can watch the flying...good idea!

Crap, I forgot about the meeting. I did speak with Greyhoundmam last night and Cody Morgan and myself are going to go out there to fly on Saturday and see what its like. Are you going to be out flying? What was real interesting? I was going to go out there Wed night and was about 3 miles away when I ran into that storm, so I said to heck with this and went home....

Dan, you should have come out Wednesday, The OMP Yak almost flew all by itself, a 50 MPH wind gust will do that! Thanks for coming out tonight, I enjoyed flying with Cody and yourself, I would love to see some events out here next year, we are definately not lacking for space.

Doug, it was a blast flying Saturday......The Orchard Farm RC field is going to be THE field to fly at in STL. Pleanty of room, a HUGE runway. Flat Flat Flat with the closest tree a 1/2 mile away...If you overshoot the runway there you shouldn't be flying.....I can see big things for that field....I snapped a few pics...I'll try and throw them up a little later..

Hey guys, I wasn't able to make it Saturday, but I was out there Sunday evening. It was awsome, no wind at all. I maidened my 29% Aeroworks edge. It flew awsome. I like it better than my H9 extra 260. The o' 260 maybe going up for sale. There were only two others out at the field flying Sunday as well. I would have liked to see more.

Dan, I finished mowing the field at about 11:30 and waited till about 1 for someone else to come out and fly, didnt see a soul

Doug, I didn't get out there until 5. Jim and Christy were out there, but didn't have anything to fly. There was another guy there, can't rember his name. Jim W showed up. I left about 7:30 and Jim was the only one left. What do you think about the chickens that showed up? There were three of them and they would go under the cars. Everyone was joking that they blew in from the storm last week. Can we call the land owner and find out who they belong to?

Nice chickens. How's the wind out there? With it being so wide open is the wind stronger than other fields? It looks real nice.

I was just out there on Saturdaty and there wasn't much wind.....maybe 5-10.....Chris was out there on Last wednesday when that storm came through....maybe he can tell ya how windy it was...Doug, were you there?

I don't think the wind is any worst than any other field. I have found there to be less wind in the morning and in the evening, but that is typical anywhere. I was out there yesterday evening and there was absolutely no wind. I actually don't mind a little wind to help keep you cool.

During the storm it was blowing hard enough to send the plastic chairs about 50-60 feet. During "normal weather" the winds are not bad at all
