Nice! What are the specs and will a DA-85 be a good power option?

Specifications Displacement: 6.10 ci (100 cc)Output: 9.8 hpWeight: 5.57 lbs (2.53 kilos)Bore: 1.6771 in (42.6 mm)Stroke: 1.3779 in (35 mm)Length: 6.5 in (162.5 mm)RPM Range: 1,000 to 6,700RPM Max: 8,500Fuel Consumption: 2.5 oz/min @ 6,000 RPM

Specifications Displacement: 5.24 ci (85.9 cc)Output: 8.5 hpWeight: 4.3 lbs (1.95 kilos)Bore: 2.047 in (52 mm)Stroke: 1.59 in (40.49 mm)Length: 5.9 in (150 mm)RPM Range: 1200 to 7500RPM Max: 9500Fuel Consumption: 2.2 oz/min @ 6,000 RPM

Based on the numbers on both motors you can save about 1lb 4 oz in weight on the nose. . After seeing some of the testing that was done on the DA85 with tuned pipes here on FG could be a killer setup.

OK let me just clear things up rocky seems a little concerned with my post so,here i go first
we have a 33% katana for the 85cc with is the properer application for that motor, In no way am i recommend that you put the 85cc in the 35% air frame as this would be something someone does as a one off at there own risk. I alway recommend putting the properer motor for the application
I have not gone back and looked to see if Reza used a 35% QQ or a 33%QQ yak for all that testing with the 85CC da on RE 3 pipe. but i do remember that the 85cc and swing a 27x10 at i higher Rpm then the 100cc and saves about 1.4lb off the weight of the plane and the wing load should be better also but i could be wrong. I had a similar talk with Andrew last year at Toledo about putting a 85 in my 260 35% i never did i went with the 100. i am not on the deck and my skills are not as good as Andrew and many other top pilots that could handle that setup hope that clear the air Dino.
