Default Safety Requirements for Joe Nall 2009

This will be my first 'Nall.

I'm not sure of the safety requirements.

Is some form of fail safe required?

Do you need to demonstrate the ability to shut the engine off from the transmitter?

If so, does a simple throttle cut qualify? (or do you need an ignition battery shut off thingy)

Where can I get a waiver form?

Anything else I need to know about?

Also, can I show up a day or two early?

Thanks,

Jim

Yes a fail safe is required. A remote ignition shut-off is not required, but a good idea.

Waiver form and pre-registration form can be downloaded from the Joe Nall site. http://www.joenall.com/

Yes you can show up early. People start showing up the Friday before the event.

You may be asked at the flight line to demonstrate the engine goes to low throttle when transmitter is turned off.
