Default I finally made the move to NW...Bonney Lake

Hi all,
I finally made the move back home to the NW after 20 years service and a trip overseas as a civilian. I just got home with my trailer full of my models and what i was living on.

I need to know what hobby shops to go to, flying fields etc in the Bonney Lake area. My interests are IMAC with my H9 Ultimate, Helis, electrics, slope soaring wings and books on aviation. If anyone can direct me to those shops that can help, Id appreciate it. Please drop me a PM, Id like to meet up with fellow modelers. Thanks!

Also, I need a job as an A&P mechanic, so if anyone knows someone, me and the wife would appreciate it and take you out to dinner.

Hey Ronbo! I'm here in Bonney Lake as well. What part of town did you move to? Here's the closest field to fly at:

www.seattlerams.com (don't let the Seattle part fool you, the field is in the Sumner valley)

For hobby shops, check out Ultimate Hobbies on Main Street in Auburn and Radio Control Hobbies in Covington. A little bit more of a drive to get to Covington but it's a better hobby shop with more stuff in stock. A couple doors down from Ultimate Hobbies in Auburn is a place called Comstock's Used Books, the guy that owns that is into aviation and has a lot of cool aviation books. Welcome to the Northwest!

Welcome home Ronbo. Ryan is right the closest field is the Rams. Just like everywhere else mail order seems to be how we get most of our parts. Another good place to order is through Hobbytown in Parkland. John, the Manager there, does't carry allot of giant scale inventory, but he is very good about ordering what you want and getting it here in a timely fashion.

Be sure to check out the NW IMAC Competition thread. Most all the local NW IMAC guys post there frequently. Also the NW Yapin thread is popular here too. Our first IMAC is the Polar Bear and it will be in Snohomish April 18th and 19th. Hope you can make it. We have a very large contingent from Canada and from Oregon too that show regularly at IMAC contests.

You can reach the Ram's Treasurer, Dick Corby @ 702-379-2750.
