Adam, I enjoyed your flight. That was awesome!
I moved the fuel tank back to the center of the CG and also moved the batteries back some. It flew well, the water falls pull over a bit better now. I still need to move a little more weight back for that crazy stuff you were doing. Too bad the October contest is the same day as the Open house at the aerodrome. Brent you have built a kick butt bird. |

Ooo, I didn't realize they were on the same weekend. I'll let ya guys know if I end up making it to the Open House. Just remember landings are a little bit trickier with the CG back, so just keep it comfortable, the way I like the CG for the extreme 3D definintly effects how it flies precision, so it's all about how you like to fly!

I added a custom canister set today. To my surprise I picked up 200 RPM and lost a ton of noise. The prop is still loud, but that DLE111 is sweet sounding. I opened up the bottom to let the cans stay in the wind. I also had to move the throttle servo for header clearance.
I attached a couple of images of my work. The plane is ready to fly IMAC. I have never even attended an event so I’m not sure what I would be in for. I have done some research on how IMAC works, but I’m still not sure if I’m ready to fly in competition. |

Pretty cool. Did you make the canisters yourself? Can't wait to check it our in Charlotte in a couple of weeks.

My prototype weighed 29lbs 4oz with a 3W 106 competition series. It hovered at about 1/4 throttle. Jerry's should weigh about 1 pound less with the 111. Probably weighs about the same with the canisters. Both planes were built with the same weight balsa. Jerry's plane with the dl looks to have the same power or maybe even a little more. His engine is just starting to get broke in. The video was shot with about 2-3 gallons through the new engine on a 27B vess porp. We will have kits available for this winter. Once we get everything finished up between myself and the manufaturer I will be posting where everyone can git one of these HONEY'S. I will be doing a complete build thread as well as the working on the instructions.

Sounds good Brent, can't wait.
I forgot to mention the Aerotech was equiped with stock DA mufflers and turning a Mezj 28x10 2 blade. In the Carden I am now runing MTW75 rear exhast cans and a Zoar 25x12 wood three blade to keep the noise down and gives phenomenal downline braking.
