+1 I doubt they read the boxes as they sling them into the trucks.

I actually was considered one of the "Bad Guys" years and years ago. I worked for Evergreen Aviation at the portland OR airport sorting out freight on grave yard shifts. I worked side by side with the UPS guys , and to be honest.....their moto was take the damage as it comes , as long as you keep moving the packages fast!

You can stuff a 2'X2' box into a 1'X1' area if it "needed' to fit.

Thinking back now.....I guess it's called karma for me....as 1/2 the planes i get here are smashed pretty bad!

Yep, I'd like to say I'm VERY impressed so far with Ben and 3DHS. Called him up and while I was expecting 20 questions on what was broke, Ben said new parts will ship today. I didn't even have to speak really! Smooth as silk, the way it should be. Thanks again.

OH , and BTW , when i mentioned "1/2 my airplanes show up broken"......that excludes the 3DHS birds! I haven't had one get delivered as of yet with any damage from Ben ( knock on wood!) The packing that 3DHS puts inside those big ol' boxes is top notch!

Ben.....On RCG i posted a question to you this morning , and i know you are probably busy as heck. Just wanted to see if i could get an idea of when the next 89" Slicks may be coming in?

Will there be any 89"ers available at the 114th gig?

Well I posted these over on RCG as well. But i finally had someone take a couple pictures of me flying this past Sunday. Actually , these are the only pictures i have ever had taken of me flying. Seems like nobody owns a damn camera up in this neck of the woods. That will change soon though , as i'm getting ready to buy a video camera!

Hope you guys enjoy the pics.

I am hoping to fly mine pretty soon. Jim aka Trojanman is putting mine together since I do not have time, but kind of at a stand still until we figure out the carb and the firewall. Using a 3W 55xi CS and the carb sits right in the middle of the firewall, with the low end needle exactly in the firewall where you cannot get to it, and can't get the throttle arm correct because of it. This 3w install has turned into a lot of work, not to mention that 1/4-20 or 6mm bolts are too big for the engine mounting flange, and 10-32 are way too small.

guys - 89" Slicks are a couple of months out. They are behind the Osiris pattern planes and 30CC Extras. As usual, people are already backordering them. So, we won't have any at the Fly-Low-In, but we are raffling off one of our 35% Extra 330 SC's.

Ben, is there anything that will weaken the firewall by moving it back 1/2"? That is the only way we are going to be able to make the 3W work with this plane and use longer standoffs, or go with another engine.

Why not just slap a DLE 55? So much simpler .

Well, thought has crossed my mind but I wanted the strongest 55-60cc motor out there so that is what I bought, not to mention I would probably take a bath on the 3W if I tried to sell it since it is the CS version and no one likes 3W besides me, plus the fact it is the most expensive 50-60 out there. Are the standoffs that come with the DLE 55 the correct length?
