Mike - The basic setup of the plane is designed around 50CC...use the pull-pull servo location for 50CC. Some people are going to put larger engines in, so we have provided the tail-mounted rudder servo location to balance larger engines 60-70CC. Again, it you are using 50CC, use the pull-pull rudder servo location.

Thanks for the quick reply. I will use the pull pull then. Thanks again Ben.

I was hoping someone would mention this ( 100cc sized Slick). It's my favorite size of an aircraft , and if my new 50cc Slick flies as well as i'm hoping it will.....I will be begging for a 100cc sized bird...OR larger 85cc between 100" -105".

If you are in need of a 100cc bird, I'd seriously consider the 103" Extra 330 SC. I flew it the other day at the 3DHS Fly-Low-In, and I love it! It takes everything good that the 50cc Slick has and up it a notch.

That will be my next 3D-hobby shop airframe W/DA-85 & RE3. My Extra 300shp is unbelievable!! After 5 gallons it still amazes me. It's my all time favorite aircraft.

I did actually think about that airframe for a while , but it looks like a slightly lower than center wing and stab , and wasn't sure how it would fly. Don't get me wrong , i am sure it flies incredible , but i was wanting to stick with a mid-wing type bird. the scheme 3DHS put on that thing is gorgeous!! And it doesn't even need to be mentioned , but since 3DHS designed it....i know it's built about as well as any aircraft could possibly be built. What about a 100cc / 35% SHP?.....i think i would probably bruise my fingers from trying to rip my wallet open at light speed , i couldn't possibly buy it any quicker. Although , i don't really need another 100cc airframe at this time since i have 5 sitting here waiting for motors , electronics and so forth....uuhhgg!!

How did that 330SC roll for you Josh? did it seem to roll pretty axial? I wonder what the mixes might look like for any type of coupling....is there much at all?

Rolls pretty axial (I wasn't paying attention at the time). very minimal mixing. Scott's plane that I flew had zero mixing in her, and I couldn't tell from flying it that I had to mix it. That usually means the mix is only within a couple of percent to get it right. At this stage, my thumbs can mix out that much without thinking anyway .

If this means something to you or not... I'm so tempted to get one myself. I think it's the next logical jump from the 89" Slick or the 87" SHP.

FWIW, SHP/SC/SR are all based on the same design. So if you like one, you'll most likely like the other. IMHO, the 103" SC is the MOST gorgeous plane 3DHS has in its lineup. Scott really nails the scale look of this plane, and it really walks the line between performance and scale beauty very, very well..

...ok, I'm this close to ordering .

Your right Josh....it is a gorgeous looking bird for sure. I haven't looked to much into where the wing actually sets as far as being inline with the motor and stabs. I know my little SHP i had was shaped pretty much the same way as this 103". The last thing i need right now is another 100cc airframe.....i have enough to last me a good few years. 1 - WH 35% sukhoi , 3-QQ 101" yaks and 1 - 34% CA composite airbrushed Pitts stinker. Oh yeah.....and since this Slick is on it's way....i may as well count that since it's just about as big as my other birds hehe. Who knows.....if i can afford it , i'll probably get that dang 103"......but i'll try and hold back.

Hold back as you may... resistance is futile .

FWIW, my 89" Slick looks as big as the AW 100cc yak. She's on par with the 35% Dalton 260 as well. The 103 SC IS visually bigger than the 89" Slick... so even though I haven't seen the 103" back to back with other 100cc airframes, if you put 2 + 2 together ... .

Andrew,

I'll be there in Ohio, looking to pick up a Slick this late fall for a winter project. I'll defiantly be looking yours over closely and I imagine I'll have a few questions too... lol
