That is awesome flying,, but I am afraid you will be reading about him eventually,, he is on the edge,, just like Jim Leroy was,, but heh they make the best aerobatic pilots in the world,, thats what it is all about,

BTW - that was the sighting device dragging the water, not the wingtip....still on the edge though

Umm.. Not sure how much you knew about Jim LeRoy, but he was one of the SAFEST air show pilots around. Just a freak accident that happened to him and was killed by the G-Force as he hit the ground due to the angle that he hit and snaped his spine! Jim LeRoy flew on the edge but in a safe manner!

H'mmm....I have all the respect for any of the top airshow performers, including the late Jim LeRoy, but augering oneself into the ground is NOT exactly "flying in a SAFE manner"

. I haven't read or seen anything about Jim's crash that would lead one to believe it was a "freak accident". ONE less snap roll on his descending line and he would have been fine.
