"First off if you think a replacement ignition is warranted after 2yrs you will find it hard in any atmosphere to get it replaced." I guess you're getting ignitions from the wrong place...Mine have had a lifetime guarantee for the last 22 years I KNOW what they cost..If you can't give someone a freebie once in a while your customer service is not what it could be...

Same as the DL50. If you haven't seen it, it is a fiberglass arm that attaches to the Walbro arm to lengthen it. It works very well.

I have never cut a slot. You just remove the screw in the Walbro arm and plce it over top. Then I drill a hole in it where the outter hole in the Walbro arm is and install a 2/56 bolt and nut to ensure it doesn't slip. Below are before and after pics. I always flip the Walbro factory arm 180 for better pushrod access.

Hi everyone, great thread! I have recently purchased a DLE55, and have run it and flown with it, I'm breaking it in with a 22 x 8 prop and are at sea level, NGK plug, stock exhaust, but im only taching it at 6600rpm max and that is with adjusting the needles. Its had only a gallon through it, but others are talking of numbers over 7000rpm out of the box. Might there be something i can do to get the rpm up?? Thanks.

I'm sorry i can't help but that is too low. I'm getting 7300-7400 on a bambula 22x8. Maybe carb issues?

Maybe DLE did change them, as mine had the hole for the butterfly shaft already drilled into it. Just had to undo the screw and fit, then screw back up again.

my 111 has 5 gallons though it and is a sweet running motor with low vibration also. with noticale more power over the 100 hovers my 35 % yak at just below half throttle pulls out with athority. swinging a PT models 27/10 carbon fiber prop at 6800 apon first start up of the day. love them both. As long as valley view hobbies and DL are in bussiness i wont buy another DA 100, Ans yes i can say that with confidence be cause i have had DA 100 s not that i had problems with it just the price difference is why.. Hope that helps.

i just bought a dl 111 about four months ago and i have it mounted in a ron chapman 37.5% edge 540 . man does this motor run sweet.idles low ,no hesitation or burbling and it hovers my plane under half throttle.i,m using a 27/10 xroar prop for break in and once the engine is fully broken in then i,m going to switch out the prop to a 28/10 mezlick carbon prop.the dl 111 is a strong running engine.no coplaints here ,just happy pilot.
