The maiden is done. I got 4 flights on it yesterday. I'm going to take it back out today. Everything went very well. It took ~3-4 clicks of down elevator and a couple clicks of right rudder. Very fun Plane.Looks good, nice install! I forget, did you go with dual rudder servos in the back or single? |

If you fly IMAC, you might not like the Vess.
I tired and it felt like flying in neutral. Mejzlik 27x10 or 28x10 is the best I found for the DA-100L, after trying PT Model, Xoar, Menz and others. Air Model 25x12 or 26x12 3 blade, works OK if you have a noise issue (should not have if you are running cannisters).

I lost the Extra yesterday to an unfortunate mid air. It got tangled up with another 100cc. I had the AW high alpha and at a slow speed when it happened. The motor box and the right wing came off in the air. It was a sickening feeling watching the rest of the plane do a death slide to the ground. On the bright side it looks like none of the components were damaged just the airframe was hurt.
If anyone is interested, I have a good left wing, both stabs, stab tubes, tailwheel, one fixable wheel pant, wing bags, stab bags, bent landing gear with wheels, axles, and fairings. |

Ouch! Makes me sick looking at it. Sorry about that. You going to get another one?

No, I don't plan to buy another one. I've got my 110" Yak to fly and I've got a NIB QQ Python to put the stuff out of the Aeroworks in. |

You and me too... That had to be a sick feeling watching it float down. I realize that the cost of the plane isn't cheap. Short of the money situation, is there any reason why you wouldn't buy the Aeroworks again?

![]() If I had plenty of money to spend on planes, I would like to have another one. It was one of the best looking planes I have ever seen. It was right up there at the top of the list if you are flying aerobatics. I was disappointed at first with the slow speed 3D feel. I was starting to get a feel for the plane. It didn't have the same locked in feel post stall like my 50cc EF Extra or 110" EF Yak. It was rock solid as far as wing rock. The main thing I noticed was the rudder didn't feel locked in a high alpha inverted attitude. I don't think I was anticipating the rudder like it would need to be. The elevators are very powerful. 40 deg. is plenty. Point rolls, snaps, knife edge, knife edge spins, slows rolls, flat spins, stall turns, landings, harrier rolls were Awesome. Harriers and waterfalls were ok. I feel like it was well built. I wouldn't have any worries about the strength of the airframe. I did some hard snaps with it and everything was fine. The wing tube bent slightly in the crash but I don't feel strength would be an issue with it. The wings have some carbon fiber strips for bracing. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another as far as the quality of the plane. It didn't quite have the feel I was hoping for 3D'ing. I guess I will stick to my Yak and Python for now. If a good deal came around again, I might own another one. |

I was looking at putting an AW 300 together with a DA100 and tuned pipes. I am looking for feedback on what pipes works well and how it affects the planes weight. Also does the carbon options (Tubes and Gear) save some weight.
Thanks John |
