Guys, I'm serious thinking about to get this airplane since I totaled my QQ Yak 102.

But I don't want to spent too much money on it, once my point is getting a 40% soon.

My QQ Yak has been assembled almost 3 years ago, so its gear are not that updated and this is the same gear I wanna put in this Extra.

What I have for it is:

2 JR8611a for rudder, with 1 Macthbox;
4 JR8611a for ailerons, with 2 Macthbox;
2 JR8611a for elevator;
3W 106iB2 with standard mufflers;
1 LiIon Fromeco 5200 for RX;
1 LiIon Fromeco 2600 for IG;

No PowerBox os SmartFly thing inside.

Do you guys think this gear will do the trick for this plane?

I wanna something that could walk into 3D and some IMAC stuff, until a 40% turns out affordable for me.

Thank you.

should work out just fine. if it worked for your 102 should work just fine for this plane. i would definately send the servo's in and get checked out first though.

Thank you, guys...

I really will send the servos to a check up, but it wasn't pretty much a crash. I lost the engine and I landed the plane out of our field track, that stays up on a hill.

So the off road landing ruined some critical fuse parts and I've decided to not repair anymore. But the plane didn't have any wounds on the control sufarces, so I believe the servos are ok.

i had a pancake landing and only bent the gear and broke off the motor box. everything else was ok. had 2 servo's with busted gear pins. good idea about sending them in. cheap insurance.

i just sell them on RCU..... just kidding. i usually send them in if there is obvious damage or like you fly it on some thing that isn't worth asmuch.

I just ordered all carbon. Also I ordered the 42% ignition battery eliminator. And psp axles. For a total weight savings of 20 ounces. That will put me at 27 pounds 6 ounces. I will post pics when the stuff gets here.

Yea James that would be awesome. But I think I'll wait till they get the bugs worked out. I bought one of the first da 85's. I still regret that mistake. It cost me a lot of money.

yea we'll see about reliability but the 100 has bullet proof rep so hopefully the 120 will also. i would like to get it but i already have everything in the motor box for balance and to loose another 1/2 pound will really give me balance issues. i think my 100 on pipes will be more than enough.

Yea James, I'll be checking my CG before, and after I put in the carbon stuff. But if it all works out. I hope the carbon gear offsets the tail tubes and tail wheel. Right now I have most of my weight way up front also. We will see. I will post pics of everthing I do.
