Well I had bought the Phase 3 about 10months ago and really like the way it flew.
I had a kid step on the stab and break it shortly after getting it. I reglued the stab and flew fine for several months. Then at a Jet Rally here in Washington while there was a lull in the flying I flew it. The stab broke off and the plane went in. I decided to buy a replacement and found out you can order it up for $50 without the electronics. That was fine with me as I still had all the electronics. The plane comes white with some decals but I chose the Artic Bandit scheme for Alaska Red Flag. On this new kit I decided to cut some ailerons, it had originally been a taileron plane. I also am attempting to make some light weight missiles. This was my first attempt with balsa and a soda straw.

Low and slow- How I roll

Might want to try to put some covers over the aileron servos, and make your missiles as aerodunamic as possible. Don't want to put drag on it, so you can extract every ounce of speed possible

I have some spare tape to put over the servos if it needs it. I wanted to test fly it first so if they don't work out it'll be easier to remove them.
As for the missiles they will be small and light. They are already Aero shaped. This plane was never a speed demon in the stock format anyways. It scoots just fine but doesn't have unlimited vertical.

I had a phaze 3 F16 put it in on a high speed stall
. I ended up getting the E Flight f16 and was dissapointed on how slow it was compared to the Phaze 3. So last night I took the motor and fan out of the E-Flight and put the motor and fan from the Phaze 3 into it. The thrust coming out is ingredible compared to the stock E-flight. What I was wondering, would it be ok to cut the thrust tube down so it's not sticking out so far out of the back of the jet ? I wasn't sure if that would hurt the performance.. I did'nt cut it off on the Phaze 3 F16 either.. I have'nt flown it yet,but it seems likes it's going to be better..
