Hi this is Jamie from PA with the other 50% Laird. I received the laird, but had to send some of it back, hopefully it will be back soon. I plan to start it after I get back from Joe Nall. Also I received my 50% Bucker which will be the same size as the Laird. I'm also kicking around the idea of making a 50% L-19 birddog.

I see you found me, I've been slowly working on the framing but not too diligent, pondering the wing and tail incidences.
The L-19 would be sweet, built the 1/4 scale Vailly and it was a nice plane, sold it though to move on to other things. What was the problem with your kit? |

I've been eyeing this bird for some time and really want to give it's worth, been flying the little Great Planes GeeBee arf, powered with the Saito 170 radial to start the season, this thing is pitch sensative but I have it almost dialed in on setup. It knife edges out of this world, don't think it really needs a rudder. |

I found this thread and was wondering what is the status of the Super Solution? Has it flown? Did it fly well? What are the specs of this plane as far as wing span and weight ? I really enjoy Golden Era aircraft. Thanks Rick

Man, this too is one of my favourite golden age machines. I hope we get to hear more about it, or others that have built one.
Can you just imagine what it was like to sit behind that big cooker goin` hell bent flat out hoping it all holds together for just one more lap. One of these big scale racers with a Moki is a dream of mine someday. Can`t get enough of them. Chad |
