Just put the maiden on my EXP.

Anyone else find the recommended CG is waaaaay too nose heavy? I just left my initial CG behind where it is recommended, and it was actually pretty good for some 3D, and great for IMAC/Pattern style flying. I'm going to actually move the CG back quite a bit more just for a little better 3D. But as is, its a great flying little bird! Will definitely get some video to post at some point or another!

I started with mine just behind the wingtube and have moved it about another 1/4"back from there. My 2200mah battery is about 1/2 way between the wingtube and the firewall.. I'd like to go a little more aft. It's almost totally neutral inverted.. I know a few guys are running their batteries butted to the wingtube....

I honestly never measured the CG on mine, but my batteries are back against the wing tube

My battery is now about 1 1/2 inches behind where it originally was, still about 1/2" in front of the tube. 2 flights now, and I slowly keep moving it back. Was really nice the last flight, the last 1/2" to the tube may do the trick.

Love this thing!

I am using the Spektrum 6100 with no problem. I probably have 30 or 35 flights on mine with no issues what so ever.

Yea I have about 5 flights using a Spectrum 5ch.sport Rx without any problems.. It just seems like the 65's don't have much holding power. I can push the surfaces level when their at full travel.. It seems to fly great though,I'm really liking it!

@xtraflyr for the moment I'm using FlightPower EON-X 30C 2450mAh lipos...
I fly about 5 to 6min depending the flying style. (20% left)

I'm going to give some 2500mAh bionic lipos a try in the next couple of weeks...
I also have an eagly tree monitor system on the way, that should give us a better view on the current etc

In flying mine yesterday, I can get about 6 1/2 minutes on a Thunder Power 2250mah 4s pack.

I may bump that up a little more depending on how many mah goes back into the battery.

Rob, I will be glad to put your ESC in my plane and fly it for a while and if there is an issue with it I will replace it. Just to confirm, your ESC is an Airboss Elite 45 Amp?
I have been flying all of the prototypes of this aircraft and the next one in this series that we will release with a DX-7 and 6100 Rx without so much as a hiccup. Not sure what is happening with yours but I'd be glad to make an effort to help you figure it out.
