Hey guys do any of your EXPs need right rudder doing Harriers or Elevators? Mine always wants to Yaw left.. I'm pretty sure it's normal and just something to get used to..
Mine actually needs a touch of left rudder when inverted, and a touch of right when upright (not much at all). Much less than my 100cc Yak though.

K I'll have to try inverted Harrier this weekend and I'm sure it's the same thing as yours Seth..

Thanks,

I have been flying all of the prototypes of this aircraft and the next one in this series that we will release with a DX-7 and 6100 Rx without so much as a hiccup. Not sure what is happening with yours but I'd be glad to make an effort to help you figure it out.
WOW!!! Agree with the A+ service. I've been slammed this week so I haven't had a chance to call you yet. It is the 45 amp, but it says 2-3S lithium, 6-10 cell NI~ on it. I'm using a 4S 2200 mAh zippy. I either read in the instructions or on here that some of the ESCs had a printing error and some of the new ESCs were mislabeled. It doesn't say Elite on it either, only "AIRBOSS 45A". Maybe that's it. I might have received the wrong ESC, but I'll shoot it back to you with a note in the box and let you take it from there. Thanks for the help!!!

well, i pulled out my flight log to test it this weekend and its not working!? no display, maybe i damaged it letting it sit in the sun a few times. but i would like to stress again i dont think the carbon fiber in this plane is an issue, i've read not to let the antenna touch any cf. me and my friend have other brand planes with alot more cf and have no issue with our ar6000, ar6200 or ar7000 rx's.

i got my new esc installed and its behaving normally now. the old esc was being pushed to its max, this new one is about 20amps over max. its continuous rating is more than the motor's burst. i was also able to mount it differently with its longer leads to the batt. i mounted it flat against the firewall, under the motor cage to get a direct blast of air from the hole in the cowl. i had to glue in a small piece of wood to mount it to.

i turned up the elev a bit more, its almost maxed throws now. im using the 3d-elv arm that was included in the kit. this helped a bit with the 3d, but some of it still requires heavy throttle to force it as if its nose heavy. im hesitant to move the cg further back as i dont want to change its normal flight behavior for other things such as ke flight. inverted it just slightly drops the nose.

this plane is very stable. hovers to harriers are amazing. even tricks like flat spins and rolling harrier spins that long fuse planes sometimes fight, this plane does just fine. i find myself doing some pattern/imac style flying cause this plane makes it so easy. snap exit clean, they dont try to over rotate. this is the best of 3 long fuse planes i have flown that behaves almost as aggressive as a short fuse plane, but keeps the super stability of the long fuse!

Glad you figured out the problem!! Don't worrie about moving the battery back to the wingtube. I just did that today after about 5 flights and it still behaves fine. You almost can't even tell you changed the CG..Still lands great no nose high attitude.. YOu should be getting 80degs. of thrown on the crazy elev. rate. I set mine up as 3 rates,normal,3D,and Crazy..Thats what I named them on my 12X!! So go ahead and put the battery against the wing tube.

guess it wont hurt to try moving the cg back heh... i think my elv is around 70 degree's, im not sure. i had to turn my expo up on elv to about 60%. i dont use switches for anything including dual rates. thats why i like to have a good ke, and this plane does ke sweet. so if the cg messes with my ke, i will put it back. my controls are 50% expo and i fly high rates all the time, every time. if i forget im in low rates and need full rates to recover down low, i'm done for. im in and out of 3d too often. i spent my time learning to fly, not to flick switches.

Funny thing, I moved my battery back 2" (to the wingtube), and my trim didn't change one bit. Makes no sense to me but oh well. Flies awesome with the battery there!

Flew my EXP in about 25mph winds today. Boy was that fun! This plane handles the wind EXTREMELY well. Didn't get bounced around much at all, just pretty much flew slow one way and fast the other. LOL

Inverted flat spins are surprising. It flattens out and about pivots on the canopy.

Did you pull a 45 degree up line, roll inverted and check the CG?

Wondering how it flies that line after a few hundred feet.
