xtraflyer, PLEASE put a 65MG in the elevator before flying. I would hate to see you lose the EXP due to a gear failure before you even get to enjoy it. That elevator is massive!

Oh man,I wish I knew that before I ordered the 4 65 HB's,oh well I'll be able to use it on something else or just have to get something for it...

Will it be fine as long as I'm just tooling around and not going to the 80deg. deflection or doing anything hard with the elev.?

Thanks...

I wouldn't trust it. I have had the HS-65 strip on the Vanquish which has a much smaller elevator and was set up for minimal deflection for pattern flying using a short servo arm. This is why we were adamant about using the metal geared servo in the instruction manual.

Chris, do you have a digital high end favorite alternative to the MG65? JR or Futaba? Hitec?

The HS-5065MG is an option too.....
but honestly the HS-65MG is a great little servo... centers well......

in just about any other application I use digitals... but on this the HS-65mg works very nicely

Hope to put my in the air tomorrow. The rain just wouldn't give up today. I may even let Big A through it around.

The fit and finish is awesome on this plane. I am a very slow builder and it only took me about 5 hours to build. I cant wait to get it in the air. After watching all the videos on this plane I am totally pumped.

Sorry about that Fred. I should get mine on Tuesday, and I have everything I need for it, so it should be flying by the end of the week.

I flew mine this weekend and i have to say this is the best flying electris i have ever had. It actually makes it look like I know what i am doing. Flat spins, tumbles, harriers and anything you can think of it will handle it. I have never had one that as soon as it hit vertical it will torque roll with minimal inputs. I love it.
