This plane pictured is 9lb 4oz with a OS 120/pump 4 stroke. so you can expect about 12oz more with a gas 26cc engine with current options available.

Corrections to build will be:

Clearance hole for gear legs misplaced, will have to be drilled to allow bolt clearance w/out cracking interior fuse floor. Note last picture

Cowl slightly too big. To mount, cut bottom of scoop for cooling and squeeze bottom together to add lower mounting screws. Paint and ultracote will match up as pictured. First picture is assembled in this manner

Some flight photos and a brief comment on the plane and flight characteristics in this format.

First we were a little apprehensive with this engine giving the performance desired from this aircraft. The builder has this available and used it. We were all shocked..
The 120 pulled this plane like it was nothing, unlimited vertical was present and it flew very light. Landings were very docile and take offs were a non-event with rapid acceleration and climb out. Aerobatics are limited by the pilot and only the pilot.

This brought to mind a few options for this plane. With the 120 we noted that anything heavier would require the rudder servo be placed in the cut-ou in the rear (opposite elevator servo). So take note when looking into the BGX or 26cc-30cc gass engines. Also with the gas engine a cross wire on the gear may be used to help with the splayin on a hard landing.

We feel anything from a 90nitro to a 30cc gass would effectively fly this plane. And fly it well. Sub 9lbs on the OS AX120 would not be out of the question if you try.
