Perhaps we should turn this into the world's longest POLITICALLY-ORIENTED thread?

hey man, we know why the other was shut down.... but we're trying to get a respectable name for this one, but instead, we're getting pinned with insults and other blocked threads...... we read the other one, so we figured we'd start a new one, but so far we've gotten nothing but trouble.... you're not mean and nasty, but instead of acusing us of not knowing what we're taliking about, please, please, please read through our last few posts..... we're only fighting for a new name, and to get ourselves out of the recycling bin..

I think what he means is... what is the point of this.
The data server gets taxed when threads get long.
Some get long naturally because they fill up with intelligent posts.
Each post being a complete thought and sentence.
When people start posting "Red"... "Yes" ... "O".. "K" after a week, it is a bit redundant.
The worlds longest thread wasn't even in the ball park of the longest thread, it was around 500,000 posts short of the KIWI's thread which is FILLED with amazing content. But for the sake of the speed of the site I had to do the same thing to their thread. They started a new one and it is already growing with useful topics.

The title on this new thread reflects A LOT of people's opinion of the WLT thread. In fact the only reason the old thread was still running was because I do my best to NOT delete things. I have had somewhere around 100 lame post reports, i have had emails asking me if I was aware that a HUGE waste of space was taking place on our site.

Everyone who posts on the WLT, also post on other threads and all you guys seem to be very intelligent and valuable members. So why this particular thing is so important is beyond me. BUT apparently it is.
So I allowed this one to stay open. It was moved into the round file to try and help it keep from wasteing band width by having it on the home page.

Anyone looking for the WLT will find it here.

Have fun...

ok thanks.... we use this (well the old one) to comunicate... we wouldn't want to email eachother because that's way to cumbersome. HOwever it would still be a huge favor if you could change the name, because i'd rather not be marked as an outcast thanks for all the understanding!!!

That's a good point...but...you are using someone else's bandwidth and that costs money....

just my VERY humble opinion... but don't you think that advertisers dollars should pay for the bandwidth for awesome, intelligent discussion of RC products?

Facebook is a GREAT option to just "communicate"

really...just askin'

yeah, you do have a point, but we actually do talk about rc a lot!!!! Its the quickest way of getting my questions answered.... usually if i ask a question, its answered in ten minutes by very knowledgable people on WTL... I do agree with FB, but will i get my questions answered within minutes of asking them???????

So please read just a few random pages of WTL, and you will see what im talking about.
thanks
