Bad news, the higher up the classes you progress the more you have to rely on your caller for unknowns..Interestingly enough your judging and other duties also increase so eventually you have no choice but to listen what you are being told(Im still learning how to do this also, its hard!!!!).. this to me is where a callers experience is invaluable. they will calm you down and help you fly the rest of the sequence.

Hey TD I had a fly today with the 34 x 12 and this time I had full throttle .
The wind was blowing 35 kph and it didnt miss a beat ,it just kept pulling on the long up lines and the multiple snaps were all good . It will have to be the get out of jail prop , only for "special" occasions . Even with the wind it was just under a bark at half throttle . I did a back to back with the 31 x 12 x 3 blade and they seemed pretty close but with so much wind it was hard to tell . Stu

Hey TD, i did the same rudder setup but ended up changing the swb wire tensioners for normal eyelets just on the servo closest to the engine.
The reason being is that if one of the servos ****s itself, then you can get the swb to bind on the other servo's arm. This way they cant bind even when at full deflections. Idealy you want the servos far enough apart that if one burns out at full deflection then there is still enough room for the other arm to move properly. An even better way is side by side like this. I'm surprised your not putting this together yourself! i like assembling as much as flying! you could done what chris has! |
