Hi All

Good to hear that you and your family are OK DOC, that's the main thing.

After about three months of trying to get a crankshaft for the (anchor) EVO300 that was in my 50% Hempel Edge, I've deceided to replace it with a 3W 275i B2 CS TS, an engine I should have started with in the first place. ( Thank you Ernie).
Over ten grand worth of engines to get it right, were does it all stop? or does it. The 60% Extra looks good. Will it fit in the Van I've got? Not a chance, do I buy a bigger van to pursue my love for the hobby or be happy with what I've got, time will tell.

Fletch, not sure if you are out there at the moment but if you are can you please send me the type of servo you upgraded the blade 400 to. I put it in a couple of days ago and just found I have lost a servo amongst the usual: spindle, sus, shaft....( suprisingly not blades ).......so time for an upgrade....I know you said you used Hihtech ones but Im not sure of the model....cheers Rob
On a better note I had just started to loop it the day before....got a bit over confident at ground level and rolled it in the next day....a good time to start to learn how to put this little unit together.......a few times...or more....
Hey Rob,

I'm running the HS56HB's on the cyclic and a HS81 on the Rudder. I opted for the larger servo on the rudder to get the balancing closer to perfect (helps alot in inverted stuff). Also make sure you run the rudder servo linkage on the closest hole to the output shaft of the servo.

Well done on your first loops. Best part about heli's is that they are like a buggy where if you have a ding you just replace the broke bits (most of the time, lol).

Have to get my Blade going now, haven't flown it in about 6 months.

Fletch

Well you could say that Rusty, and that's just two engines the EVO and the 275 then there's the exhaust systems on to of that.

Hi Benny
Things are going well for me landing a job that I always wanted, It will only get better as time goes on and I become a main line driver.
I spoke to Bill about the wing, he told me what to do to fix it, hope all is well now, time will tell.
I have been keeping an eye on what your doing, congrats on your engagement and hope to see you soon.

It's awesome to see but honestly does it make you fly any better? I'd love to own a 3m but I don't think it is worth the extra money and worry of that many $$$$ falling out of the sky if things go wrong. After all I am no pro and never will be, it's just some fun and an escape for me.

Haha, it is a very hungry addiction, I couldn't put the transmitter down at first, lol.

When you re-assemble the head make sure you oil up the feathering and main shafts. Also check the O-Ring dampers as they wear out pretty quick, I think mine were worn after about 20ish flights (now using Tygon tubing as it gives a harder head dampening).
