just had a quick look, the EXP kits work out at about $200.00 aussie dollars each and BAM BAM your profile will be around $145.00...That's $945.00 so we should be right

Ill drop them an email tomorrow and get a quote for the shipping and if everyone is still keen we will go from there

Kia ..... customs.gov.au

Ive imported HEAPS of kit when I was restoring a truck and have had many hrs with these dudes on the phone...Even after paying the import tax and ginning around with forms & faxing paperwork off, I still saved around 200 bucks per order that i did.

Just read the fine print as if i recall, frieght / insurance is inlcluded in the 1K bag limit!!!
  • If you arrange for goods to be brought into Australia, you are regarded by Customs as the importer of those goods. This includes purchases made over the Internet, regardless of whether or not you intend to sell or distribute those goods, own a business and if the goods are for your personal use or a gift for someone else.
  • Your imported goods may arrive in Australia either by airfreight, express courier, sea cargo or via the post office. The method of delivery will determine the Customs clearance formalities and charges.
  • Customs advises people purchasing goods over the Internet to be aware that, when those goods arrive in Australia, they will be subject to Customs controls.
  • Certain goods brought into Australia require an import permit. Customs might seize or detain such goods pending presentation of the permit. Alternatively, the goods might be a prohibited import and not allowed into the country under any circumstance.
All goods (except for tobacco products and alcoholic beverages) may be imported duty and tax free if their value is $1,000 or less.
Note: However, where there are multiple packages to the same addressee in Australia from a single consignor overseas that arrive at about the same time, then the value of all packages will be combined for duty and tax assessment purposes. Refer to example 1.

Just had a quick look TackDog,

ARE FREIGHT AND
INSURANCE COSTS INCLUDED?
The Customs value does not include freight and insurance costs
in transporting the goods from the ‘place of export’ to Australia.
However, any inland freight and inland insurance costs incurred
by the purchaser before the goods leave the ‘place of export’ are
included in the Customs value

That doesn't quite make sense to me

that means if you have paid for the freight in the order and including the freight and price of the order is over $1000 you will get charged gst and duties on the total cost of the order including shipping.

Love the little motor with the big heart. 15 / 4 on 30% nitro rocks.
The little Funtana 50 is still circulating too. I gave it to one of the guys at the SMAC club a while ago. He put an OS in it and is still having a ball.

All the best.
