Is that still the case with the newer JR's? I haven't tried them.

I have tried the futaba 9156's and they are nice and precise but developed some slop after 30+ flights. Still usable though. I have some 7955's and so far they seem damned good.. precise like the futaba's and slop free.

Hi BB
Good to hear from you, no luck with the EVO, I'm going fishing at the weekend I will be able to use it to hold the boat steady. And yes Clive did get a 3w 275 for the 260.

Hi Matt,

I was running a 12 x 6 APC electric on the 260. I think we have a 13 x 4 somewhere, if I can find it I'll try it this weekend and let you know how it goes.

.
I dont know about the latest JR servos but they would have to GIVE me some to see how good
they are . At almost $400.00 each for the new HV servos its not a gamble I would take , their
record is so bad they would have to show me , not the other way around .

JR " feel the difference " we know what that means .

Anyone know if Booma-rc are still in business? I ordered a new charger on sunday night and the order tracking still says pending and the funds have been taken from my paypal account.

I sent Rick an email today but no-reply as yet.

The JR in your test achieved 16kg/cm (5cm X 3.2kg), slightly better than rating (15kg/cm) so just above par. But it is a pity the metal in the gears is compressible and gets squashed if worked hard enough after a while so we can feel the slop , even though they may maintain their torque rating.

Thanks for that Pete . one other thing I noticed was the Hitec got very hot very quickly
when stalled but the JR seemed not to build up the heat as quick . It may have something
to do with the hitec metal case VS th JR plastic . Most plastic is a great insulator .

Still love the 5955 , they just seem to keep working well enough to get the job done .
