The wing loading will handle the weight and the 60 would give better pull out of a hover wich is mostly my only complaint at the weight they come out at.

Saito 220?
Why??? You could almost buy a new plane with the money you will spend in golw fuel. Not to mention the amount of crut you will have to clean up after every flight. This is one of the main reasons I believe modelers are going to gas at this size range, just makes better sense. One gallon of gasoline at $3.75/gal (including oil) in a 50cc motor will give you roughly 10-12 15 minute flights while 10-12 flights with a saito 220 will use around 3 1/2 gallons and cost you close to $48.00. |

heres a vid of the first weekend with the plane. The ele dont match in this vid and it weighs 18# and it still fly's well. Pull out of a hover not so good.

That was an old sony handy cam Hi-8 of my buddy's. It doesnt have a fire wire connection so i had to use a hub like device to convert the rca cables to usb connection but then windows media player didnt recognize it so i had to capture it with sonic my dvd which doesnt have the setting s that wmm has hence the poor quality.

After reading this thread I decided to set my a.w. qb yak with a da50with slimline pitts muffler installed on the scale now mind you it still needs flight batteries, 4 more servos, switches and it fluctuated between 13 and 14lbs so I would say the 16lb mark is very beleivable. I fly with FEARLESSFLYER and have picked up their Katana and it is very light I was suprised at how light it was.

GUYS!!!! KEEP IT NICE.
He lies - she lies - He's right - She's right - DON't care. If the plane flies great AWESOME. If you have the oportunity to weigh your bird on a postal scale, snap a shot and quiet the peanut gallery. If not.. no biggie.. you know how good your plane flies and thats all that really matters. Please guys watch the negativity... i don't log onto the giants site to get bummed out by arguments... I can hear that all day at work!!! State your points but please be respectful to each other. Thank you... that is all ......carry on.

! If you would have read my post I said that the plane was not complete. I.E. NO SPINNER, NO RX NO BATTERIES NO SWITCHES NO EXTENSIONS MINUS 4 SERVOS AND WAS WEIGHED WITHOUT THE PROP. Also the scale is digital and was fluctuating between 13 and 14 pounds. By the way James were you bullied around as a kid?

GUYS!!!!
THATS IT... One more personal attack and this sucker is closed... not because of personal opinions... but the childish way people are attacking each other. STATE YOUR OPINIONS and leave the childish banter at HOME. One more comment and this thread is DONE. And its not a Thread NAZI thing.. we are giving you every opportunity to act mature here.
