I'm a little slow on the acronyms Doug *** is roflmao? Started on the bottom of the fuse last night. The epoxy is a pain to remove from the inside. Will have to pick up the CF/Kevlar for the repairs on Friday, till then it's slow grinding and cleanup. Stabs are done and rudder has been glassed and is waiting on fill and sanding.

thats impressive. What are you doing to the cracks that you are sanding down past the paint? Are you just reglassing it?

I use two layers of 3/4 oz. cloth, the first is smaller than the repair area covering only the exposed foam, the second layer extends into the glass that is left around the area. I try to put a taper into the paint by using a small disk and holdiign it at a slight angle. I use a piece of plastic sheet protector over the area to get smooth finish. It's slow work but should require less filling later. The cracks in the stab and elevator only required a small amount of glazing putty after knocking off the high spots. The hole in the left stab needed a little feather fill followed by spot putty. Still I only added about an ounce to the stab which I duplicated by adding foam to the other stab.

Waiting on epoxy to dry so I started on the holes in the wings. Going to layup the patches on a good section of the wing on release paper ( leftover backing paper from UltraCote ) to match the airfoil then bond over the holes from both sides. Luckily there is good access from the wing root. Notice how I put a step all around for the foam part of the patch to sit in.

Started on the belly of the beast tonight by removing a section of the bottom then all the epoxy and plywood from previous repairs. Going to remove and replace the lower part of the former with CF sheet and then build a new bottom with the gear mounts from CF. Then I will add spars to spread the load forwards and back along the fuse.

Planting flowers sucks but it makes the wife happy!
