I'm thinking the calculator may be flawed. At least enough to say that counterbalances shouldnt matter.
This is what I plugged in for a .60 sized profile plane I have. I'm currently flying the crap out of it with 90 oz servos. Measurement US Standard Metric Max Speed 60 mph Control Surface Chord (front to back) 26 inches Control Surface Length 4.5 inches Control Surface Max Deflection (from center) 60degrees Servo Max Deflection (from center) 60degrees Servo Torque required 1321.029oz-inControl Deflection at max torque 60degrees Last edited by sloanfs; 03-16-2009 at 06:05 PM. Crap. You are right. That changed it to 228.64 in oz. probably a little overkill but makes more sense than before
