Pilot-Rc 30% Yak thread.....Build, questions, pics

This thing is gonna be sweet. I had submitted my design for the plane a while back, and Tony is ready to build it soon. He said he will get me some pics from China, so I thought It would be cool to post them before I get the plane to see the covering process

After going back and forth between this and a few other considerations....this is why I pulled the trigger on this plane. The Extreme flight, and 3dh Slick were the other top shelf contenders

-It is sized like a 50cc plane. The Extreme flight is huge, so is the 3dh as big as my old 33%! I already have a 100cc, and the whole reason for me getting a 50cc in I can lock it in my topper without pulling the stabs, bash around on the jobsite or mx track, or cruise to the field no trailer.
-At my altitude, the 3dh and ef would have weight issues using a 50cc on stock muffler and I want to keep it simple. The pilots build really light
-I am a picky mofo as far as blems, and the Pilot I already have was perfect out of the crate! The EF I have is also perfect, a reason why it was also a consideration. I've had other high end ARFs with construction blems out of the box that just tweaked me out
-Custom sceme..........sweet!

I pulled the trigger on one of these as well. Having Tony change the scheme a bit also. Can't wait to get it.

I have a really trick white black and silver sceme with big red stars I designed in CAD for tony.....He nailed the last one I designed so no worries here!

I'm going to order one of these real soon too! I'm just going with one of the stock schemes and trying to decide between the Russian Thunder and the Blue Flame. Decisions Decisions!

Ordered the Russian Thunder scheme today! Planning on this being a back-up airframe for now incase my wh Edge bites it.... But I'll probably piece it together little by little until I have my second gasser going!

Holy crap! Looks like they cut wood templates. Wonder if they keep all the templates incase someone calls and wants a scheme just like one they saw online or at the field etc....????
Got my tracking number from TBM today.... I should be YAK'n this coming Tuesday! Even though I won't be throwing mine in the air any time soon I'm still excited to get it into my grubby hands.

I think they mush keep the templates. Tony said they can make replacement parts for custom scheme planes

Show you are going to love the 30% Yak. I know I am liking mine more and more every flight. I had to move the C G back just a little and 1 deg up thrust in the engine and now it's dead on. Hope you get yours soon.
