Default GP REACTOR VS EXTREME FLIGHT YAK-54

I am looking to jump into gas plane arena. Right now I am looking for an airplane that I can use a sunday sport flyer and some occasional 3D flying. I have read some reviews on the Exteme Flight 88 inch Yak-54 but I have not been successful at finding reviews on the GP Reactor 1.60. Is there anyone out there can give me some insight on the flying characteristics of the Reactor. Which ever airplane I purchase , I would like to outfit it with a DL-50 engine.Any help would be greatly apprectiated.

What size engine are you running on your reactor? I was reading that this particular plane require two servos for each aileron. Is this plane set up for flaps?

I owne a reactor and I like it a lot it has a wide range in preformance from sport type flying to the wildest 3D it is well made and easy to assemble . a dl 50 will be perfect but a pitts style muffler is used, a pipe or canester can't be used without major mods. the fact that 2 servoes are used for ali. is not uncomen or a problem they are huage ali.

There is no comparison. They are totally different planes. I had the small Reactor and flew well and I have all the Extreme Flight planes of course...

Just what Blair said. You can't compare apples to oranges. I have never flown the Reactor, but I've heard some good things about it. It won't 3D NEARLY as well as the Yak, but it will fly faster, and track slightly better.

The Yak on the other hand is one of the best 3D planes on the market. It tracks awesome, but it is made a little more for 3D. It isn't built to fly quite as fast, but is capable of flying MUCH slower than the Reactor.

They're both good planes, but you need to know exactly what you want it for. I love the Yak, and the Extra's even better, but those are the planes that I like.

Just my 0.02

Have fun!

Im running DL 50 on the stock muffler and it has soo much more than enough power. No it is not set up for flaps they use 2 servos because the alis are HUGE!!! I have to disagree with you on the way it 3Ds though DanielPh it is great at 3D it is close to the EF Yak.The Reactor is fast but it slows down great it will go from fast to slow flight in a nice smooth transition. This is my opinon cause i have flown both i think they are both great planes I love them both.Either way you go you are gonna get a great plane

Sorry, I guess that I kinda' jumped to conclusions. I have'nt flown the Reactor, but the EF Yak is awesome. Just looking at the Reactor, I didn't really think that it would be verry good for slower 3D. Thanks for correcting me.
