I just got a AW 60/90 Yak and am having a tough time deciding what engine to mount.
I have an OS61FX which is already feeling like it will be under powered.(and it's never been flown yet!!) I know for sure, I'll be wanting a more powerful engine. Because of economics, I won't be able to buy a new engine for 2 months or so. I'll be using that time to try to figure out what the hell I want since I am still new to Glow engines So far, What I thought might be a good choice are below; OS91FX OS120AX Saito FA-125A YS110-S Any and all recommendations will be appreciated!! And if anyone has run any of these engines on a AW60/90 YAK I please let me know how it flys and if there are any problems mounting these motors!! Thanks in Advance |

Also, what kind of top end and idle rpm are you getting? Got the 61FX running today with a 13x7 prop and with a slightly rich setting I tached the topend at 9400rpm and idle at 3500rpm. Hopefully I'll be able to turn down the idle once the engine is broken in and leaned out. |

The 61 will be ok for sport aerobatics but if you want to have good vertical the OS .91FX or a Satio 1.15-1.25 will be perfect. They all will fit just fine.

Thanks for the info!!
I was eyeing the Saito 115 earlier this week at the local hobby shop and was wondering if it would fit in the cowl or not. |

were flying ours with a saito 100. and its balistic. tons of power.
if we had to do it again we would probly do a saito .91. weve seen a video of one with it and it has tons power, even from a hover, could go straight vertical. |

Ended-up flying with a FA115. It's a blast. I can get into all kinds of trouble and just punch out of it with raw power!!
Biggest problem I had with it was to mount the engine. Generic engine mounts would not fit on the motor box. Only thing that fit perfect was a Saito OEM engine mount and it had to be mounted inverted. Which also makes the carb sit below the tank, so it makes carb set-up tricky. Thanks for all the help everyone!! |

It'll be great with the Saito 1.25, but I think the YS 1.10 would be my choice.
