This is a beautiful plane! I was leaning toward the 35cc but this 300 is the most scale looking Extra 300 I have seen to date. I hope it will fly as good as it looks.

I'm "building" one right now. It's a beautiful airplane!

Just a pic of some progress so far. I fitted the wings for the first time today. Almost done!

What are the ready-to-fly weights coming in at?

There's only flying that I know of and the guy's in Singapore. He didn't post the weight. To be honest, I don't really care what it weighs unless it feels too heavy.

I'm strapping a DLE-55 onto mine right now, I'll have AUW shortly. Totally blown away by the plane so far. Looks fantastic and is pretty much the best build quality that I've ever seen. Everything just fits. Hardware is fantastic - linkages are rock solid with no slop and extremely easy adjustability. Not sure why all planes aren't like this.

Most of all, the thing is just beautiful. Mine is the yellow scheme and I smile every time I walk into the shop. Can't wait to see how it pops in the sky. Hopefully I'll maiden this week.

I'm using the same engine. Yellow always looks awesome against a blue sky!

Sure does!

Maidened mine yesterday. Freakin' fantastic flying airplane. Tracks true and straight and harriers like a champ - even in the high wind that I was trying to ignore because I wanted to fly it so badly. Didn't try anything too fancy with the wind what it was but everything that I did it did extremely well and looked great doing it. AUW came in at 17.5 lbs with a DLE-55 and stock muffler. Speaking of, anyone using a DLE-55 and a stock muffler will not be able to use the included stand-offs - they are about 1/4" too long to get the cowl to clear the muffler when it's all put back together.

I've got all day Saturday booked out to get this baby dialed in but I came away from the maiden extremely impressed and very happy. I called my wife after I flew to leave her what I thought was a casual message letting her know that the maiden went well. When I got home she said, "Boy, I can tell you really love that plane - you sounded giddy in your message!"

Here's on shot from the maiden - hopefully more to come.

Ryan

Here it is guys! It's finally done! Just have a little bit of programming to do and that's it. CG is perfect, a little less than the recommended 4" making it spot on according to flight reports on RCU.
