Default 37% Krill Yak CG Location?

Hey Giants, I picked up a used krill yak which didn't include the manual. I looked on Krill's website and wasn't able to find the CG location on this bird. If anyone could direct me or would be willing to copy a manual for me, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

While you are waiting for a manual, you can get an estimate of the cg location using online calculators that are available on the web:

for a simple calculation based on the wing geometry, use
http://www.scaleaero.com/CG_Calculator.htm with %MAC BP = 30%

if you have a more complete set of dimensions, use
http://adamone.rchomepage.com/cg_calc.htm with a static margin of 10%

In either case, the cg will be fairly close to one another.

I decided to use these calculators because I got tired waiting for someone to provide a manual.

Send CRHAMMOND a PM and ask. He bought my krill and should have the information. I cannot remember it exactly. Like 320mm from the cowl line. I had it balanced just aft of the wing spars, and it was hands off inverted, and would slowly climb out of an inverted 45. It was still a little tailheavy for my liking.

what a memory I have. The drawing is misleading in that it makes the CG look like it is in front of the spar.

ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE! Thats what I'm talking about! Thank you guys so much for your help. I hope to have it balanced with a DA-150 and cans, but heard stories that they are tail heavy models. One more request. By chance do you guys know the recommended throws? I konw it's mainly pilot preference, but I'd like to know the range. Thanks again for all the info! You guys rock!!! -Brian

Well I got all my equipment installed and as expected the yak is very tail heavy! Anyone else have this issue. Do they fly well tail heavy. I don't think this will be my IMAC bird!
