Default 35% ANG Panzl

I just wanted to post some pics of my friend Jeff's recently completed JTec Radiowave 35% Panzl. Its based on the Air National Guard scheme of John Klatt's Staudacher, and I have to say that Jeff did an outstanding job on it! This was one of the Pak kits that Jtec sold, and its running a DA-100 on JMB cans, 2.4ghz, Li-Ion dual battery setup, and hitec 5955's all around with a single 8711 on the rudder. I neglected to take any interior shots, which is just as beautiful as the outside, so I'll take some soon and post them up. This whole plane is a testament to the mad building skills Jeff has!

Enjoy the pics!

That is a beautiful job. The great thing is, that plane will fly as good as it looks.

Thanks guys.

Chris, I really appriciate your help on this plane and your constant nagging to make me finish it.
It wouldn't look as good as it does without your paint job on the pilot and YOUR mad skills on the vinyl cutter.

Awesome looking bird! I've always LOVED the Panzl - sure wish there were more companies putting them out, a 40% would be sweet.

Here is mine that was built from a Pak Kit as well. It is modeled after Frank Chenevert's fullscale Skytec Panzl 330. I have had mine almost 3 years now! Great airplane!
Similar setup, mine is on a DA100 wih JMBs, Hitec 5945 and 5955s all the way around.

Actually have the 40% prototype framed up in the shop, Have not done anything with it as the general public dosen't like its looks. Honestly I don't know what to do to change that.

The thing is its probably one of the best flying planes out there!!!!

Al,

Just take pre-orders for PAC's... you would sell a few to the die-hard Panzl fans. Honestly the 2.7m Panzl was one of the best planes I had I just didn't know it as I didn't have that much experience at the time. My buddy Gordon from Calgary is flying it in IMAC still. It has a LOT of time on it now... 2 full IMAC seasons. I'm not sure how many flights but its got to be 500+ by now.

Since the Panzl I have had a bunch of "expensive" airplanes. Most of them flew/fly worse than the Panzl. The only one that has been as good is the 3W Extra 330 40%. In 40% the Panzl would be AMAZING. What is the wingspan of the 40% prototype?

One benefit of an "ugly" plane is that people don't continuously bug you coming over to drool on it LOL. And its not an Extra or a Yak... LOL.
