Default Removing oil to apply decals...HOW???

Fellas,

Been trimming a glow pattern ship and finally got it "worthy" of some vinyl. What, in your opinion, is the best way to clean glow fuel soaked covering in prep to apply vinyl... if it's even possible.

2/3 water, 1/3 rubbing alcohol, 3-4 drops of dish-washing soap. Should be squeaky clean when your done. The same mix is good for applying graphics also. and get a nice little spray bottle.

fwiw, when i apply decals, i remove a strip (1/8" - 1/4") from the center of the backing with a pair of sharp-pointed scissors, position the decal just right, press the sticky strip down, then remove the rest of the backings while smoothing with fingers...no mess, no bubbles...works every time...ken

Goo-Be-Gone, Walmart, is what the graphic company owners use.

I have used certain lacquer thinners that worked quite well.
