Hi Joe,
The 25-12S and 26 x 12N 3 blade props will likely run lower RPMs to the MEj 28-10. If this is so, the headers will probably need to be lengthened for best performance and throttle response. Lucky for me, I stumbled upon both props really cheap second hand, and just happen to put 1060's on the DA in my Yak ![]() I'll let you know how they work out later this week. I hear as long as the plane is moving, they are not to bad at all, i.e. the up lines are still strong. Where they fall down is in slow speed maneuvers like 3D. Given my flying is about 50% 3D, its unlikely I will love either one, so if you want to borrow them after, you are welcome. There is something called a Biela 26-10 3 blade that is also on my list of props to try. Seems to get good reviews and is said to have great downline breaking, which none of the 12" pitch 2 blade props I have tried so far excel at. Branwell |

wow! that would be fantastic!
I appreciate the offer - just let me know the shipping and I will help out with that part of it. I would really like to see what they will do on this plane....please keep me posted on your findings! Im not really looking to experiment with header lengths, etc....so i will be interested to see how they do with a 'stock' set up. Thanks again!!

Hey Joe ,, in your "roller rate" you just pin the aileron and work the circle wth the rudder and elevator,, I will be flying the Mocksville contest Aug1-2 in Intermediatte and I am getting ready to start practicing rollers.

actually, no.
Im not a fan of doing rollers that way. I like to have a bit of extra aileron in case I have to speed up the roll rate...whether its windy conditions, falling behind in the roller, or...if i get in trouble and need to 'hurry' the roll rate. 7 deg doesnt sound like alot...but it actually has a comfortable speed...it could actually be slowed down a bit more, if you like to peg the aileron. This plane really likes to be steered around with the rudder - and use it the most. see ya at Mocksville!!

Yeh I would feel the same way,, I don't want to me using "all" the throws I have in any manuever , especially when you have the OH CHIT moments when you need to adjust something,
