Anybody have any thoughts on using a ZDZ 210 on this plane and keeping everything lite? I would consider getting one if it is possible. I would like decent pull-out out of hover. Comments?

Smokey,
I was going to put a 3W275 in mine but after some consideration, I am going to put a 3W200/210 depending on which I can find. I figure that this plane will come in around 52-55 lbs. The 275 is five pounds heavier than the 200/210. I flew a 40% TOC Yak with a 3W157 CS and it was 52 lbs. It would haul it around fairly well, so I figure the 200/210 on this plane will be great and keep the weight down. The ZDZ 210 should work great as well. I know Troy Built is showing not in stock, but they have them at a great price. Blue Sky!!

That would be with the 200/210.

I certainly will. I am just about finished with my TT 40% Pitts Model12. Just have to finish the flying wires. I will probably not have this plane until the end of the month so may not get started until after the Nall. Should be a fun one though!!

I wonder if you can use 2 servos per aileron and a single servo per elevator half.

I'm intrested in one of those plane too,
i have flown my 46% for the 1st time last month and i literally get addicted for the biplanes, end iven is is a biplane, so more prone to require a fine trimming to fly straight seems that the trimming process is going to be very short. less headache = more fun! for the 250cc version, I think a couple of 7955/ 8711 or any in this class is just fine ,but I'm not so sure about the elevator, maybe with a good mechanical advantage can be fine too, but then the "45+" degrees of trow are not possible. IMHO better stay with 2 servos each elevator, for the rudder, 3 X 400 oz.in class servo will be more than enaugh (1200 oz. in!!) especially if using a push pull system (because the tighter setup) Waiting for the building pictures, PS. the white-orange version is just wonderful!! Have fun |

My Ultimate arrived tuesday, and I'm stuck here at work for three more days. I only need the engine to arrive, then I have all the gear to install in the model. A friend of mine opened the boxes which the model came in, and shot some pics of it all. It sure looks great, the scheme is very H9 like, but that's ok. I took the cheapest one. This is actually a 55% Ultimate, according to a friend of mine who knows all about the full size.
I'll let you look at some of the pics, and then I'll post more when I get my hands on the plane, and can start assemble it.
