I have installed all the servo's in the wings and stabs of both ultimates. I used 6-32 button heads with blind nuts to hold the servo hatches in place. I also have all the 10-32 set screws glued in for my control horn hardware. I will be starting on the fuses tomarrow. I will try to get some pics up soon. I am having some computer problems right now and can't get them loaded.
Thanks,
John Light

I have only left to install the wheel pants and gas tanks and engine. The plane seems to be heavy in the tail, but when I compared it to my 40% Yak, it was no big difference. I need to shorten the engine box with 20mm, to make the 3W 240 fit perfectly. There will also be some welding to do on the headres, to make them fit the canisters, which are located a bit wide copared to the engine.

Here are a few pics.

I hope to be done with both of them by the end of next week. I ordered all the graphics for both of them tonight. Not to bad, two ultimates in two weeks. I think the planes are going to come out nose heavy so I made mounts in the tail for the 4 rudder servo's. I hope I am right. I am still having some computer problems so I can't put up any pics yet. Hopefully over the weekend I will be able to post some pics.
Thanks,
John Light

Tikka,
How is the ultimate coming? I am close to being done with one of them. I should be done with mine this weekend except for the batteries, regulators, and graphics. All that stuff should be here by the middle of next week. While I am waiting for that stuff, I will start on the other fuse and hopefully be done with both of them completely by the end of next weekend.

Hi John.

There has not been any progress. I'm taking some days off to be with my family. I'm off to work on an oilrig for two week, and the weather is awsome here now, so I'm spending some time on the beach with my daughter.

The engine is held at the customs, hope they ship it my way during the week. I only need to install the gas and oil tanks, and then it will be ready. But when I get back from work, there are only a few days to my departure for the Snapahuckfest, so I wont have it ready before after that. Glad to hear your coming, will be great to meet you in person.

Here are a few pics I took friday, it is kinda big, compared to my stw.

We should have both ultimates at the snap a huckfest along with the 3-60%er's. We are looking forward to the event. I am still hoping to get some pictures up this week.

It will be awsome to see them there. I guess I will not have mine ready in time to fly it, before the Huckfest. John; what size spinner will you be using? I measured the cowling, it seems to be suited for a 6.5" spinner. I know Bill Hempel has a 7" spinner, but I wonder if it will be too big? Any thoughts?

C u all l8r.
