Hey quys, I'm intrested in getting my first turbine and just wanted a few opinions on a few of the ARFS I've been looking at and if they would make for a good jet to be introduced into the world of turbines...'1st is the Comp EuroSport, 2nd is the Skymaster Viper, 3rd is either the jetlegend F-15 or the Fei Bao F-15E..... I'm a crew chief on 15's so I'm kinda leaning twards the F-15 but wanted yalls opinion!! Currently flying 40%s and there are a few guys at one of the local fields that are flying jets..... Thanks

Check out the Skymaster F-15. I've personally flown that model and like it alot! Great starter jet also.

The f-15 is probably the easiest scale jet to start with. I'd go with a Jetcat P-120sx or equivalent. Get something that is ample and fairly forgiving. Flying a jet is easy, but landing it is where all the mine is at.

Checkout PST Jets Reaction ARF. There are about 4 in my club. Looking good without the hassle of scale jets.

Eurosport is definately a very good and easy flying sport-scale jet. Its fairly aerobatic and has a pretty big following. The speed range is very wide as well. allowing slooooowww high AOA flight to 150-170mph passes... And with the newer "3d-universe" you can add the thrust vectoring fun to it as well.

The SM Viper is also getting raving reviews from the guys flying them and has excellent slow speed capabilities according to them. You would need something like Jetcat 160 or bigger for it. So muchos dineros compared to the other options but probably well worth it!
I think you can't go wrong with either the F-15 or Eurosport though, I'm trying to decide on one or the other for plane number two, currently flying Boomerang Intro/Baby on a P60. Check out this Eurosport flight if you haven't seen it... almost made me order one when I watched it. ![]()

F-15 or F-22 would be my suggestion, both are great flyers and are easy to handle.... forget the trainer style jets unless your a relative newbie flyer. The F-15 is generally the one I consistently recommend as an ideal entry level scale jet along with the F-86. The Raptor with a fancy colour scheme is also a seriously good option....

You might wan't to look at a more basic turbine trainer - http://www.troybuiltmodels.com/items/TBMSHOKJET.html TBM is also coming out for larger turbines so you can use the same turbine in a more advanced jet.

The shockjet is an Avastar with a turbine on it, nothing intro about it, other than learning how to start a turbine, he can do that in his garage.
If your already flying 40% airplanes, get a Skymaster Viper.

I second a more basic turbine. The learning curve of military jets for a first turbine can equal a few successful flights and then one really nasty landing which will cost you a busted airframe and landing gear. Most guys that I've seen who start with military planes are constantly repairing them until they get past the learning curve. My recommendation is to get a sport jet/trainer with a turbine that you can put into a jet you actually like after you're still improves. Examples of such planes include: Elan Boomerang, BVM Bobcat, PST Jets, Comp-ARF Kangaroo, etc, and possibly the Skymaster Viper. I personally wouldn't start learning to fly jets on a $10,000 Viper, but to each his own. Coupled with a P-120/P-160 sized motor, the other jets will give you a lot of flexibility to move towards a more scale jet in the future without becoming frustrated from repairing gear doors, gear plates, landing gear, etc.
