Both are great aircrafts from great companies as everyone has said. You can't go wrong with either.

I've also flown there 45" Extra 300. All I can say is that They are all awesome! Chris is a great guy too, and is always happy to help!

Ya' can't go wrong with either. The 2 biggest reasons that I've been going with Extreme Flight are the precision flight charecteristics of there planes, and also the fact that they keep the scale look in all there planes!
I would, however, like to get a 51" Slick eventualy! They're all awesome!
Too many awesome planes, too little $$$.

The 88" is looking good Daniel, cant wait to see some video.

Just got back from the field. Wind was blowing15- 20mph gusting to close to 25mph with beautiful sunny skys. A guy showed up with his brand spankin new 88" EF Extra. My first time seeing this plane up close. It is nice. The covering is perfect. I asked if he had to re-shrink any of it and he said "Nope, looked like this out of the box" Where the fuse meets the vertical stab looked like it could have been painted composite it was so crisp. It came with wing bags, tail bag, instrument panel, and a painted to match helmet head pilot. Nice touch. The hardware was top notch, and he said he didn't replace a piece of it. He had quality equipment all around and bought a new JR 12X for it. He did have a slight warp in one elevator and one Aileron, which could be fixed by reheating the covering. All in all this plane was sweet!!

He was planning on making the maiden flight. The DA had 2 gallons through it and it was still not broken in yet. It maidened without incident and looked great in the sky. I liked the bottom of it. Made it really easy to tell top from bottom.

Granted I have not seen a 87" 3DHS SHP up close and I don't know what accessories come with it so I still can't compare the 2. Don't envy you having to make a decision though

Owned the 74" Yak from EF. Easy to assemble, and flew lights out. Gave it to a friend in return for a future build. Wish either of them had an Extra 300, or even 260 of the 100cc variety. My order would be placed already. As far as which to buy, choose the scheme that you like best and add to cart!

Well,

This thread is boring, it's a love fest, where are the rabid fans of one or the other spewing pure hatred of anything they don't personally own? (The engine people are always doing that in other threads aren't they?)

To be serious, you've hit on two of the absolutely best in the industry. I own an extremeflight yak and it is the first plane I fly every day (has about 200 flights on it now). Absolutely a great plane and great service from Chris. I know people that have the 3DHS stuff and are just as impressed with theirs. Take your choice, but if I had the money I'd have one from each of them!

In the mean time, I was only joking! Lets keep the love fest going!

What a great thread.

I have both and they're both awesome flyers!! There are subtle differences between them due to the different designs but I can't say a negative against either. It's like having two beautiful women, one blonde, one redhead. It's tough to go wrong. And both companies are top-notch to deal with.
