HAHA
I was browsing these forums while watching Price is Right and I heard Drew say something about an RC Airplane. I looked and it was a Dietrich Extra in the Red/Yellow/Black scheme! ![]() Damn I would of got the price right on the money and won that extra $500 bonus.

i bet they all overbid! My wife was on the show two years ago while bob was still running the show, wish that plane came up then, she would have gotten the right bid for sure! Instead, she underbid some crappy painting. Ha Ha

Yup it was a prize they were bidding on. They went through 2 rounds of bidding as they all OVERBID!
They were bidding from 1200-2200 or so the first round. Then the second round they were all like 700 and over. Finally someone won it with a 500 bid I think it was. It was funny because the girl that was showcasing the plane had a controller in her hands that looked like something Parkzone would give you to fly a 3 channel plane.

So what is Dietrich thinking? Most guys don't want their significant others to know how much these things cost. I believe they donate the prizes in exchange for the advertising. MadDog Joe

I swear I heard Drew say a 96" wingspan, what's a few inches among friends, and I glanced up and over bid also. I assumed it would be something you could take home and use so would be RTF. I forget who won the plane but am glad they don't live on my street if they actually gave them one RTF. I googled "price is right prize rc plane", found this site Now I have to build that C421 I've been lusting for. Thanks Drew |

Yeah I didn't catch any of the specs and the few seconds I saw the plane it actually looked like the 75cc Extra to me but the MSRP they said was $595 so I figured it was the 50cc'er.

I think it is a little miss leading on if it would come with a motor and all the gear.
The winning bid was $695 for this 96"ws Dietric extra 260. |

Haha nice pics! I was wondering if someone TiVo'd it. I guess it was the 75cc model then, I thought he said the MSRP was 595 so I assumed it was the smaller one. I was literally on the Dietrich website when it caught my eye.
