Tony, it is the Extra 300 40% with the 122" wing and I am putting a 3W-157 in it with canisters.

heligrom...yaks are bigger planes scale wise than extras, look at a 40% yak next to a 40% extra.

Well guys the plane showed up but was damaged beyond repair thanks to DHL and the carrier they interlined with. This is no fault of Pilot or Tony Tan. I am numb as this plane was absolutely beautiful. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

I got mine f***** by DHL as well, they hided the crack (the hole was on the bottom surface) so I didnt see it when I picked up the boxes. Couldnt say anything for the insurrance but no damage on the airplane itself so its fine.

Your scheme looks pretty good, mine will be maiden very soon

Dude that sucks. I'm not to happy with DHL either. Took them almost a week to get my plane here. I wasn't there when mine was delivered as i was in the doctors office, but my brother sopposedly opened it up and looked at it when he took delivery of it. I will find out tomorrow if he really did. Have you contacted DHL about the damage I know mine was insured so i'm pretty sure tony insured yours as well.

That sucks! What is up with these shippers. I have had two planes in the last year arrive with damage.

When mine showed up the box was busted apart, the corners had separated. Unbelievably the plane was undamaged. I am not sure where DHL hires their workers, but it is crazy how badly they can damage a wooden box.

When the plane arrived I simply refused it after viewing the damage.

Spoke with Tony and he is going to build another plane exactly as first. Great service from Pilot . . .

Doesn't surprise me in the least. This company is only going to pick up steam. I tried and tried to talk myself into other planes but it hasn't worked. Looked at the TOC's, but they are heavier, and aren't fast build. Aeroworks are heavier, and CF would make it more expensive than the Pilot. Extreme Flight doesn't have a 100cc Extra. I love their Yaks, but I'm wanting an Extra. OMP Yak55 and Extra are small by comparison. CompArf is very expensive, and requires a lot of building. (I hate building) Airwild, PAU, 3D HobbyShop don't make 300's. And JTEC's color scheme isn't for me. and no other ARF builder does custom schemes that I know of. And not only are they custom, but their guys are GOOD. Really good at covering. Pilot's Good customer service is the Coup de Gras. This time next week I should be able to purchase my Pilot RC Extra 300.

Please, my above reasons for wanting the Pilot are MY observations. I'm not going to get into a pissing match about pros and cons. Those discussions always loose their way.

Steve
