Hey Bill, thanks for the update and the pic of the color scheme. Dont stress over the containers shipping situatuion. I dont need a 38% Decthlon under my tree, besides that, it's bigger than my tree and wouldn't fit anyway. When they get here, they'll get here. I guess it sucks that you cant take them to the AMA Trade show, but hey, just take a picture to the show, a scale picture, LOL. Thanks again, Scotty.

Yup. the picture of the Decathlon is the 58% one, it is a custom scheme for Brad (above pst). The standard scheme ones will be Red and White with Silver trim... still will be stunning. Congrats Brad!!

Bill,

Can you tell us what the difference's are on the New Edge 540 compared to the Old version, and are you still going to offer it in the red, yellow and black scheme? Sure would like some pictures, I'm considering jumping into the 50% world this coming year. Appreciate all your hard work.

I have received a few pictures of the new airplane and they look GREAT! Counter balances on wing and stab will increase scale appearence and also improve 3D capabilities. The new Edge's will also have wing tips added to the standard wing, just like the Red Bull racing guys. This will look better and increase the wing area a little bit to help lower stall/landing speeds.

The FlAME scheme has been ordered for you!

BH
He wrote some ting about the edges here.

I ordered mine(it's a friend of mine who is the owner, but i'm helping him and will fly this thing) with the flame-scheme.
Nice to have good friends

The real differences: everything. This is a whole new bird, redesigned from the ground up. The only thing that will stay the same is the airframe dimensions, airfoils, and control surface sizes.

The fuselage is now being build like my Yak55, they are balsa skinned and are scale shape (not flat sides) Effort went into reducing excess material to save weight, C/F landig gear, wheel pants, newley designed cowling and canopy molds to have a better scale appearence. Wings and stab are about the same as the older Edge except scale wing tip were added, counterbalance were added (wing/stab). Color selection: I am using a new scheme which is very close to the Yak 55 Blue/White scheme. Also the FLAME scheme and the Red/Yellow scheme will be avialable. The airplane should fly better lighter due to the modifications and also the different construction methods. I am really excited about this new airplane and cant wait to get my hands on it. I will share a few photos but until the airplanes are covered, I will wait on the overall picture of the plane. Picture: Cowl difference between the old (right) and new style (left). Picture of the Real Edge 540 with RedBull style wing tips.

Bill,

Thank for the insight into the Edges differences, what would the extra cost be to have one covered and painted in the Leseberg Scheme.

Not sure anywhere form $25-100.00. It would have to be quoted fron China.

Anyway if you did this you would have to wait for the following container.....

Bill,

I know this is asking the impossible, but I'm going to ask anyway. When do you think the next shipment would be delivered? I'm just asking for a close month, I'm wanting to do the 50% Edge and want it done in the Mark Leseberg Jr scheme just trying to get a fairly close delivery date.
