As Sleepy already stated, I dont think that horizon is having a problem with the wings on these yaks. I have flown two so far that could take as much abuse as the next plane out there but things happen and It just so happens that two you recently heard of on FG had wing problems but I dont think you have anything to worry about. It does fly really well.

HEY GASTON!!!!
To everyone that doesnt all-ready see, this is one of the best guys around. Here's a small discription; Gaston lives in the BOOONEYS, basically they have Eskimos as neighbors, yet he still managed to gather up a great group of guys and goes flying with them, every sunday in a local School gym (actually three huge gyms). If it wasnt for Gas, these guy would have no where to fly, and would have never got into indoor foamies to the extent that they now are. He holds building sessions at his own house (which is also the local giant scale club) and helps everyone put together cheap, durable, bluefoam Foamys of all shapes and sizes. Run out of glue? Gas will have a glue gun primed and hot in your hand in seconds. Smash your plane? Gas will have one built for you in a days time. Need somewhere to stay cause your girlfriend kicks you out of rex while your visiting her? GAS TO THE RESCUE!!!! The most welcoming, honest, and all around great dude in the north! Welcome to the Giants GAS Andrew! |

I appreciate the kind words, Andrew has been flying with us once in a while this past winter and has been an inspiration for all of of us, he's talented , funny and always ready to help, we just wish he lived in our area, he comes to visit his girlfriend at our local university and we're always looking forward to see him. If he happens to be around, I'll let him fly any of my planes, jets, turboprops, foamies , anything, he inspires confidence and has proven his talent everytime he visits. See you in a couple weeks.

Andrew![/quote] Andrew, that's funny but it's not quite that bad, I live 10 minutes north of Sudbury in a small town called Hanmer, which is part of the City of Greater Sudbury and only 250 miles north west of Toronto. I also happen to be very fortunate to own 80 acres of land and 6 years ago, a wonderful group of modelers helped to start a very active club. Our grass runway is 80ft x 800ft and we fly just about anything.

Hi
I flew the Yak 54 Turboprop at Wingham Jets on the weekend, everything went well, I'll post a video as soon as I have a chance, hopefully this coming weekend, we're having our annual FunFly.

So, is the video done yet? Good to know you are having success with it. |

Hi
I just received the video taken during one of last weekend flights, everything wen flawlessly, I just have to do a bit of editing and I'll post it. In the meantime, here are a couple of pictures. I just installed a smoke system, I'll post another video of that later on. Gaston

Outstanding project. Whats the differences in total weight of the wren and its pumps etc to that of a DA50 complete with ignition and exhaust?
Great video......looks a little underpowered though LOL J/K |
