I have a plane jane comp-arf extra 2.6 that weighs 22.5lbs. Nothing special added, just got lucky with the guy that layed up the resin and glass. It is the one in my avatar, 4 years old.

Good thread Mike Lots of cool planes.

I finally put a little vinyl on the Edge so I thought I'd post a pic.
For those who dont know I rebuilt it this winter due to major crash damage. It was 27 lb before repairs with no spinner and no wheel pants. I was following Bob's 260 thread and got a bunch of good ideas from him and got her down to 24.5lb. And that was mostly only taking weight from aft of the cg to make it balance better.

It doesn't hurt when you use only 1 servo per surface except for the rudder. My engine is a pound or so lighter than most 100"ccers. No power boxes, frills, or paint at this time. If I change out my batteries and tires I should be able to make up for the weight of the paint.

It is always better to leave all the extra gadgets sitting on the shelves, simple is direct and light.
