I have a DA-85 on H9 suk and the power, well you'l see the power when the motor box comes lose from the fuse.
Let's hope that doesn't happen!

Got the pipe and motor mounted with the wood block standoff. Throttle and Choke servos, fuel tank and mounting batteries in the rear of the fuse is all that is left. Should be flying on Wednesday at the latest!

AWESOME!!!!!!!

Got my first flight on the Yak last night after the IMAC portion of the event and it was amazing. Obviously the power was "on demand" and it hovers in high idle. It felt a little heavier than my Extra on the wings, but it would lock in to upright and inverted harriers and just float.

The 3-blade smoothed downlines and also helped make power delivery as smooth as possible. I love my new plane, and I got tons of good compliments on the reinforcement and being brave/crazy enough to try this combination.

Just a testament to Extreme Flight's plane that it can withstand the power of a DA85 and still hold together.

Ricardo,

Go ahead and get a head start.....

Will upload some video of the maiden flight after today's Unknown round.

Hey Parker my Yak's for sale so I guess that I'm gonna have to race you with my Extra. I'm holding out for EF's 123" Extra 300.

Awesome. How is it at idle? It will be spending much time at idle so I imagine you'd want it to be smooth there. Verticals must be NASA-like.

At idle it does shake quite a bit, but once above 2500 rpm it smooths out and runs great. Most 50s shake this airframe pretty good to. I'll need to get one with a 50 beside it to compare shaking.

All I know is that this thing has got UPs! And I think after some practice getting used to it it will be a winner for sure.
