I'm curious to see some torque rolls and how much aileron authority it has to do a reverse torque rolls. It's going to have a lot more torque but should have better flow over the ailerons.

All I know is that this thing has got UPs! And I think after some practice getting used to it it will be a winner for sure.
When are you comin' to Daytona? I still haven't sold mine. Maybe you can give me that head start.

I will get you some video tomorrow weather permitting.

The video of the maiden got messed up. All that got on was the take off and some hovering up high. All the low stuff never made it to tape.

I will upload what I got and get some better video tomorrow.

There is a ton of flow over the ailerons with the 3-blade. Plenty of propwash to keep it in a hover.

As for harrier landings, that can wait unless you want to pay me for a new Carbon 3-Blade.

Were all chomping at the bit ere for some vid ya know
Cant wait to see the pullout n how smooth it harriers with the 3 blader. Ive been running mvvs58 with a 26/8 mejlik on my 88. its so locked in with ke its awsome. but the pullout is faster on a wooden 24/8. Seems changing props from minimum to max makes a huge difference on engine tuneing. Im back on 24/8 now as it hovers for as long as i want without getting too warm. The minimum weight factor has been a big thing for most pilots. Them lecky indoor anals getting too big for their boots.lol
Ive seen tom out fly everyone with a brick of a shocky at plenty of indoor flyins, n plenty of lightweight numptys who couldnt fly fer sh'#t. I would feel gutted if i only had a 85 in my 110.
Beans. Might try n shoehorn a mvvs 80 into my88 n see what thats like. im told the mvvs 40 performs like a 50 and the 116 sure pulls like a 150. i bet the 80 ripps like a 90 Fancy a moon race.lol

This thing has amazing prop wash from that 3-Blade too. If you need correction in a hover you god it . So much airflow over the surfaces!

And if you need PULLOUT........Well use your imagination.....NASA LIKE!

My standoff is a 3/4" block of rock maple wood. Do not do standoffs on this 85. You need a lot of surface area to displace the vibration and force this thing has.

I will upload some pictures later.

HOLY GOD!! i thought the cowl and hatch were gonna vibrate off! that thing is vibrating like madddddddddddddddd

i really enjoyed the whole 1/4 throttle blip takeoff to hover and then the INSANE vertical performance...you might wanna check every bolt and screw after every flight or use lost of high temp red loctite..

btw, i think your buddy was talking about doing a waterfall (aka frontflip)

Parker,

I'm having a hard time reading your link. Do you think you post it a little larger? LOL!

I don't think you would ever lose a vertical drag race with that plane. Seems to still fly fine. What did your AUW end up at?

I'd bet that it's less than 18.5lbs. My 24lb Sukhoi is nutz with the 85.
Fitting having Nuc plants in the background. That Yak is Atomic!
Won't have any troubles at high altitudes with that one. Cool Vid
