No video as of lately. Been the only one at the field. Kind of hard to film and fly at the same time. I'll break it out this weekend and get my freestyle on video if the weather holds. Looks like Florida rain for the rest of the week

Curious, I just bought a DA85 for my Giant scale Corsair project. I need to break my DA85 in. This would give me 2 years in my Extreme Flight Yak before I would have to install it in my Corsair hmmmmmm. It's been awhile now for you, how's everything going, airframe doing well?

LOL That's always fun. Haha
I do have to say that if I was getting an 88" Yak, I'd go with the DA-50 and RE-2.

The DA 50 is plenty of power on the 88. Does anything you want and still very light.

Im a one trick pony whos digs the hover end of ![]() If i did the sustained hanging with a da like i do with the mvvs58cc it would show how marginal the power to weight really is. The Da50 overheats with a 24" after no time. The 58 will swing a 24" allday long with no struggle atall. Sure i could of used a 23" on the da but i never liked the feel of it on the 88. |

I've seen it both ways. Kirbdog is right about finding the right prop for your style.

Plane weighs in at 20.25lbs. That's with two receiver batteries and a 20oz fuel tank (enough for two 4 minute freestyle routines with plenty left over)

My EF Yak with a DA50 and a MTW can comes in at 17.90 pounds. I do believe this plane is too heavy for a DA50... It flys okay, but doesn't have the vertical that I think it should. I would love to strap a DA85 on it!!! |
