Default Aeroworks Edge 540 w/OS .75 AX

I have the new OS .75 AX on my Aeroworks Edge and flew it yesterday for its maiden flight. It is definately fast. It does not lack for power and goes vertical really well. I flew it with a TopFlite Power Point 14x6 and 14x8 and it is fast on approach for landing. I was wandering what a good prop would be to slow it down just a little? Do I need to go to a 15 size? Recommended props are 14x6, 14x8, and 15x7. Also I noticed alot of times on landing that it wants to tip up on its nose and pop the prop on the ground, granted when i got past the paved runway and hit the taller grass at the end it would do it, but it seems to tip up a little easier than i like. Do I need to add a little weight to the tail end?

Overall this is an awesome plane and love it. It flies really well and handles great, just a couple adjustments I would like to make to it.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Daniel

What is the idle speed of the engine? Have you idled it down to a point that does not kill the engine? Are you landing into the wind or with it? I would check these first.
As for the prop strikes it is simple physics...if you stop the wheels with enough forward momentum ie. running into tall grass... any tail dragger plane WILL tip nose down. Try giving full "UP" on high rate to the elevator before you hit the grass. This will push the tail down. And yes you need to be at taxi speed. This is how you would taxi on a grass runway.
