Just wanted to let everyone know that I graduated from the Air Force basic training yesterday. I leave for tech school on Monday for 2 months. I will be at the IMAC Nats this year.

Bren wont be making the NATS this year, he will be attending Transy University Campus for 3 weeks for a Governors Scholarship for the Arts that he has won for a scholarship.

I will be there with Chris Woycke though so will get to see everyone then.

Congrats!

I have been out of the Air Force since 1985. I still look back at my time wearing that uniform with great pride. In fact, a couple years ago at the Chino, Ca airshow, they asked to have people stand up that had served in our armed forces. There must have been 250,000 people clapping for us. It was one of the proudest moments of my life.

Pay attention to the older NCOs, they will keep you on the right track and you'll learn a lot.

Mom and Dad are so proud!

I'm working on Gumps's IMAC plane now. Putting together one of our 100cc Extras. I think it will have to have some cool Air Force graphics on it. I'm thinking the canopy sides will say:

"Pilot A1C Forrest "Bubba Gump" Pilkenton

and the other side:

"Crew Chief LtCol Mike "Salmon" Pilkenton"

Won't that be a switch!!!!!

Chris is flying Sportsman I beleive.....I may or may not be going to NATS now, Chris told me Sunday that he doesnt need me to call for him now.

Thanks guys I am now here at Keesler AFB in Mississippi for 8 weeks. My dad should be coming down in a week or so with the IMAC plane to practice with for the weekend.

See if you can get a weekend pass and slide up to Memphis at the end of May, you know you can always fly my junk!
