Default Airbrushing a color scheme on planes???

Hey, im curious, whats the best way to cover an airplane if you want to do a crazy color scheme and air brush it on? I mean not on a fiberglass plane? can you cover a plane in white monocote or ultracote and airbrush on top of that??? Just curious?

Thanks
Jon
