Steve, that is an awesome looking Hornet. I was considering buying it a few months ago, but didn't know how it flew. I have a few 6s batteries lying around that need a home. Hmmmm.

Dantley,
If you decide to get one, let me know. I'll give you a list of modifications you should make, and pictures on how they were done. It a fun, but not real fast EDF, the F/A-18 is a little draggy, the 6S setup will perform pretty well, in excess of 100 mph.

You can get into turbines with something less then a fighter jet, you can start with a Turbo prop engine airplane combo as I have done.

to get some time on turbines and yet stay with something familiar, great learning tool , My next winter project will be the Euro fighter after these two turbo prop airplanes, the first is a Laser 200 (not scale), and now building the T 34 C Turbo mentor.

great PLANE Dubd... congrats on the maiden... i too have one similiar..JL but in the blue angels scheme... wit the exact same engine... i just wanna know.... how many mins was your flight?... i only had ard 5mins coz the fuel cells they supply are too small a capacity... and limits the flight time major....
